Knights of Columbus, Ossining Council 311

Founded 1898 in Ossining, New York and Growing Younger

From the desk of Peter Marengo, Grand Knight

Welcome to our new website!  As the Grand Knight for the 2006-07 fraternal year, it is with great pleasure to introduce you to our order and our grand council of Ossining, one of the first Knights of Columbus councils formed way back in 1898!  Like the churches we serve, our council has such a rich history and we are hoping with our recent renaissance that we can rekindle the fire and make a new and lasting history for the community and the churches we serve!

As designed and managed by one of our worthy brothers, Joseph De Matteo, we invite you to navigate through our website and get to know Council 311 and the activities and charitable events we have planned in the coming year.  Our council, in less than three years, has grown from 60 members to our current roster total of 98, but it is primarily the makeup of these newest Knights who will help us carry forward the glorious legacy of our founder, Father Michael McGivney.  This injection of youthful exuberance and soulful spirit will inspire us to make our community a better place for our family, church and country!

If you are already a Knight of Columbus, we meet the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at 8:00 pm at Parish Hall on the grounds of Saint Augustine church.

If you are not, feel free to drop me a line or email me to discuss whether you are ready to be called a Brother Knight.  I promise that you, your family and the church you serve will be better for it!

Vivat Jesus!
