Knights of Columbus, Ossining Council 311

Founded 1898 in Ossining, New York and Growing Younger

C & B = Charitable and Benevolent
The money raised is for Charity.

  Our 2007 goal is 311 C & B books.

Not a lot for some councils, but a lot for 311, which had been a quiet council for a number of years.  Our resurgence and growing roster should make 311 books - more than double last year - a somewhat easy goal to reach.  But we will not reach it without your efforts, brother Knights.

OUR GOAL: 311 BOOKS

Knights of Ossining Council 311 are working to expand our service to at home and in the greater community; C & B allows us to do that.  C & B allows the New York State Council and Supreme to do charity work in our home state and throughout the world.

November 2008 - Message from C&B Chairman, Mark Lederman:
Brother Knights,
We have sold enough books to make a good start.  For this to be a successful project, we need your help.  Please sell the books you received in the mail, and call Joe Clark or John Sarcone for more.

Cook and feed the need of Ossining.
Give clothing to more than 5 outlets that help the needy.
Help our local parishes with man-power, expertise and time.
Run youth programs
Serve the elderly.
Support family life.
Work against abortion.
Help raise money and material for a medical facility in Tanzania, Africa (LifeProjectArica.com)
Serve as volunteer emergency workers.

KNIGHTS: YOUR HELP IS NEEDED.

There is never enough money around to do the charitable work we want to do.  We Knights are never short of great ideas or the desire to help, however, we mostly do not have the funds to actually accomplish all of those wonderful ideas.  And that is where C & B comes in.

As a Knight your help is needed selling C & B books.  You can sell a book of 14 chances to win as much as $25,000 for only $10.00.  Surely that is not too much for your neighbors.  Tell them how worthy the cause is, how much good work we do, especially right here in Ossining.

This year there are a total of $50,000.00 in prize money; a grand prize of $25,000.00, 2nd prize $10,000.00, 3rd prize $5,000.00 prizes, plus TEN $1,000.00 prizes.

The C & B program has been around for many years, and has been the source of funding many, many worthy projects.  Projects that impact individuals in our town and beyond.  A number of our Knights are working hard to help Fr. Stephen Mosha and his Life Project for Africa organization, which is directly helping save lives and educate children.

In Service to the One.  In Service to All.
