Dear Holy Father,

As the Grand Knight for Council 311 in Ossining, New York, USA, I wanted to tell you how proud we are for your courage and devotion to serving your flock.  We, as Knights of Columbus, are soldiers in your army and will always stand up for you and Holy Mother Church, to denounce sin and moral decay, to dedicate ourselves for the unborn and religious vocations, and to pray always for you and your steadfast ability to protect our faith, through Christ Jesus.

I invite all of my Brother Knights to keep the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, and our Church, in your constant thoughts and prayers, especially during this recent disturbing development with Islamic fanatics.  Everyday, I urge all members and their family to faithfully arm themselves through, not only prayer, the sacrifice of the Mass, and compassion, but by reading historical and spiritual books on the Catholic Church and always keep the Catechism and the Bible on your nightstand for reference.  We Knights are dedicated to leading our fellow Catholics in reverence and understanding to faithfully defend truth, as you, Holy Father, teach us.

We love you and may God bless You, Holy Father.

Vivat Jesus!

Peter D. Marengo,
Grand Knight
